Welcome to the City of Canandaigua Strategic Economic Development Plan web site.
This site offers a variety of information related to the economic development plan being created on behalf of the City of Canandaigua by Fairweather Consulting.

What is the Strategic Economic Development Plan?
The Strategic Economic Development Plan is intended as a long-term guide to foster the creation of jobs and wealth in Canandaigua.
Over its history, the City of Canandaigua has created and/or enhanced a wide range of economic development assets, including an increasingly successful downtown, a strong health services sector, a manufacturing presence, a growing tourism economy, a strong educational sector (including FLCC) and other important assets.
The City has yet to fully realize the economic benefits that can come from marshalling these resources to build synergy among them and thereby maximize their overall impact on Canandaigua’s economic well-being. By working closely with a variety of stakeholders and identifying opportunities to strengthen the City's economy, the Strategic Economic Development Plan is intended to do just that.
